Immediately Email Mr. Adrian and Gillian Bayford for details of donation offer via email: firstname.lastname@example.org<mailto:email@example.com>
That’s very kind, if indeed your name is adrian gillian bayfo. Perhaps it’s adrian gill inabayfo? Hard to tell from your email address.
Maybe I’ll have a look at the magical easywhois.com site and dig a little deeper.
qq.com is registered to a liguo zhou of the Shenzhen Tencent Computer Systems Company. This company is apparently located at the following address:
35 F, Tencent Building, kejinanyi Avenue,
Let’s go to google maps and have a peek at you.
So I can locate, Guandong, and Shenzen, but not the Tencent Building, nor Kejinanyi Avenue.
But I think this is a dead-end as the tencent corporation seems to be big in China as per this wikipedia page. Admittedly anyone can create a wikipedia page of course. Tencent could be legitimate, or perhaps not. It’s difficult to tell with any company; just think of Enron or any major bank.
Back to the originating email then: Tommie Hylkema <firstname.lastname@example.org>
Irvingisd.net is registered in Texas which is interesting as it is quite a distance from Shenzen, China. Perhaps this is a US-China co-operative arrangement to give money away to
unsuspecting victims, I mean, benificiaries. That’s nice, and totally against the grain of scammers, spammers and other pus-filled scabs of the internet.
I imagine the first thing you’ll do is ask for my bank account.
Then there will be difficulties depositing the money and you’ll need some from me to create an offshore bank account. This sum could be quite large or quite small depending on how many people take you up on it.
There will likely also be a request for identification in order to open this offshore bank account, some scans of ID documentation and details like home address, and other personal details.
At which point you’ll disappear with your ill-gotten gains.
Or maybe I’m looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Oh, that’s an automatic system on my computer. It’s called a spam and damn filter. It catches spam and then damns it to non-existence. Pretty neat really!

I expect not; you’re happy to scam any human being so long as they have the cash you want.
